Funny Friendsgiving Outfit Ideas
Friendsgiving is Thanksgiving without the pressure. There's no seating chart, no relatives asking about your job, and the dress code is usually "comfortable enough to eat a second plate." A funny tee fits that mood perfectly, and it gives people something to talk about while the potatoes are still in the oven.
Here are a few easy outfit ideas built around the Thanksgiving tees in our shop. All four are printed on Comfort Colors 1717, a heavier garment-dyed cotton tee with a relaxed, lived-in fit.
The tees
Outfit idea: wear it with jeans and an open flannel shirt. It's the easiest Friendsgiving look there is, and the retired turkey does the talking.
Outfit idea: go full cozy with joggers and slippers. It's a good choice if you're the one taking leftovers home, or if Friendsgiving turns into a movie night.
Outfit idea: pair it with a corduroy jacket or an overshirt in a fall color. It's the right shirt if a dog is coming to Friendsgiving and you know exactly where it will be sitting.
Outfit idea: layer it under a cardigan for a slightly dressier look. If you're bringing the gravy, this is the only correct shirt.
Group ideas
- Pick a theme: everyone wears a different shirt from the set and you take a group photo before dinner.
- Matching pair: two friends or a couple both wear the gravy frog tee.
- Assign by dish: whoever brings the gravy wears the gravy frog, and whoever takes leftovers wears Leftovers Night Shift.
Don't forget the host
Bringing something for the host is a nice touch, and a mug is easier than guessing what wine they like.
Fit and comfort tips
Comfort Colors tees have a relaxed, slightly boxy fit, which is good news after a big meal. If you plan to layer a jacket over it, take your usual size. For a looser fit, size up. The fabric is 100% cotton, so wash it cold and skip the hot dryer to limit shrinking.
When to order
Friendsgiving often happens the weekend before Thanksgiving, which is earlier than the holiday itself. Each shirt is printed after you order, which takes 2–7 business days, plus shipping. For a Friendsgiving on Saturday, November 21, order by about November 4 to be safe. For Thanksgiving Day (November 26), order by about November 9.

Order-by suggestions (not guarantees): for Thanksgiving (Thu, Nov 26, 2026), order by about Nov 9 to be safe. For the first night of Hanukkah (Fri, Dec 4, 2026), order by about Nov 16. For Christmas (Fri, Dec 25), order by about Dec 7. Carriers get slower in December, so earlier is better.
