Funny Thanksgiving Shirts and Mugs
Thanksgiving is one of the few holidays where a funny shirt fits right in. You're eating, watching football, and arguing about whether the stuffing counts as a vegetable. A shirt with a joke on it gives people something to laugh at before the pie comes out.
Below are the Thanksgiving shirts and mugs in our shop. All of them use the same retro illustration style: soft colors, slightly faded lines, and an animal doing something it probably shouldn't. The tees are printed on Comfort Colors 1717, a heavier garment-dyed cotton tee that feels broken-in from the first wear. The mugs are 11 oz white ceramic.
Shirts
A turkey that got the presidential pardon and is clearly enjoying retirement. It's an easy pick for the person who always gets asked "so what are you thankful for?" first.
A cat caught raiding the fridge on Thanksgiving night. Good for anyone whose favorite part of the holiday is the 11 p.m. leftover sandwich.
A dog peeking out from under a checkered tablecloth, waiting for someone to drop a piece of turkey. If your family has a dog that works the room at dinner, this one is for them.
A frog relaxing in a gravy boat. It's a little absurd, and that's the point. It pairs with the matching mug below if you want a set.
Mugs
The same gravy boat frog on a mug. It works for the coffee drinker who'd rather not wear their jokes.
The pardoned turkey with the words "Pardoned and Thriving." A mug is a safe gift for a host, a coworker, or anyone you're not sure about sizing for.
How to pick a size
Comfort Colors tees run close to true to size with a relaxed, boxy fit. If the person likes a looser fit, or you plan to wash the shirt hot, go up one size. The size picker on each product page shows the sizes you can order. When you're unsure, a mug avoids the size question completely.
When to order for Thanksgiving
Everything here is made after you order it. Production takes 2–7 business days, then the carrier needs its own time on top of that. If you want a shirt in hand for Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 26, 2026), ordering by about November 9 is a safe target. Ordering the week of Thanksgiving is likely too late for the day itself, but it still makes a good gift for the next family get-together.
A few gift ideas by person
- The host: the Pardoned and Thriving mug, as a thank-you that isn't another bottle of wine.
- The leftovers expert: the Leftovers Night Shift tee.
- The dog person: the Under The Table Committee tee.
- A matching couple or siblings: the gravy frog tee and mug, one each.

Order-by suggestions (not guarantees): for Thanksgiving (Thu, Nov 26, 2026), order by about Nov 9 to be safe. For the first night of Hanukkah (Fri, Dec 4, 2026), order by about Nov 16. For Christmas (Fri, Dec 25), order by about Dec 7. Carriers get slower in December, so earlier is better.
